Eastgate develops hypertext tools and publishes original hypertext fiction and nonfiction.
We all use and depend on software, but many people don't have a very good idea of where software comes from or how it is crafted. Even professional developers may be curious about how other kinds of software are made in other places.
This weblog reports on current development work, ranging from routine maintenance to laboratory experiments.
Mark Bernstein is Eastgate's chief scientist. His weblog discusses broader technical and artistic issues than are usually discussed here.
Eastgate publishes Tinderbox, Storyspace, and many fine hypertexts. This site is written in Tinderbox and exported using a derivative of the Flint weblog assistant.
