Guidelines for the NYU Press Prize for Hyperfiction
. . . .
Hypermedia works should exhibit imagination, consideration of sense, non-sense, and the use of one or more elements of transduction, juxtaposition, mirroring, combinatory alchemy, provocation, accident, association, randomness, superimposition, and multiplicity. Ideas may function like productive and verdant tumbleweed, representing themselves while simultaneously identifying themselves with the very process that is altering them. A truly effective creative written work not only exhibits a significant hospitality to nonlinearity, but also some meaningful context for the decay or reduction that produces local or momentary sequences."
