The Key

Tano and I are standing in front of my door when I realize that my keys are somewhere else.

He says, "I just can't believe you lost your keys. Now I have to spend the night tracking them down with you."

"I do not need you to help me find my keys. I'll get them tomorrow. I'll get keys from the landlord tonight."

"Don't bother the landlord. It's 10 p.m."

"Don't tell me what to do."

I bother the landlord. I say I'm sorry that he has the keys I need and I'm sorry I'm waking him up.

I let Tano into my apartment, and he says, "Aren't you going to give the keys back now?"

"Why don't you let me live my own life?" I say.

He's perfect for me, because I need practice telling people to respect me.
